Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity
Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity program at Presidential is structured to provide students with the essential knowledge and technical skills needed to safeguard digital systems, networks, and data against evolving cyber threats. The curriculum blends core IT foundations — such as data analytics, programming (Python, C#), system analysis and design, cloud programming, software quality and architecture, IoT, and emerging technologies — with specialized cybersecurity courses including threat and vulnerability management, network and systems security, cyber operations and monitoring, digital forensics and incident response, and compliance and assessment.
Spanning 120 credit hours over a standard four-year duration, the program also includes integrative general-education courses (in communication, critical thinking, ethics, social sciences, quantitative reasoning, etc.), as well as a modest business and leadership component and a final capstone project. This structure ensures that graduates are not only technically proficient, but also capable of thinking analytically, communicating effectively, and understanding broader societal and organizational contexts — preparing them for cybersecurity roles across sectors such as government, finance, healthcare, and more.
